Explore our quick review of the John Deere 1 Series Compact Utility Tractors. The comparison outlines key differences between the 1023E and 1025R models. Each tractor brings its unique features, power, and performance to meet your operational needs.
An Overview of the John Deere 1023E
The 1023E tractor boasts a three-cylinder Yanmar engine that produces 21.5 engine horsepower. The model shown below is equipped with a 120R loader and runs on limited category one implements. It features a standard operator's seat and its hydraulic controls manage the three-point and the mower deck. One unique characteristic of this model is that the mower deck does not have a lock-in adjustment for the hydraulics and the steering column is locked in place.
The John Deere 1025R
Moving on to the 1025R model, you'll notice immediate differences. While the model shown below also features a 120R loader and a 60D mower deck, this tractor produces 24.2 engine horsepower and 17 at the PTO. The operator station on the 1025R comes with a premium operator seat with a taller backrest and armrests. It also includes work lights for those early mornings or late evenings in the field. Unlike the 1023E, the steering column in this model is adjustable, providing enhanced comfort for the operator.
Choosing the Perfect 1 Series Compact Utility Tractor
Both tractors are capable of handling all category one limited implements. However, the 1025R does produce a bit more power. If you're aiming to get more work done and do it comfortably, the 1025R could be the machine for you. Remember, choosing the right tractor depends on your personal needs for power and efficiency.
