Crosby McDorman, an ag salesman from Koenig Equipment's Anna, Ohio store, recently visited Monte Heppard at Yeasel Farms in Northern Logan County, Ohio, where they were actively harvesting soybeans with the advanced S760 Class 6 Combine.
This impressive machine, sold to Monte a year ago, is equipped with cutting-edge harvest automation, cameras, and the ultimate technology package, enhancing efficiency in the field. Monte, who has been managing the family farm for 33 years—originally established by his grandparents in the 1950s—oversees approximately 1,500 acres and raises beef cattle across two farms.
During the visit, Monte shared his appreciation for the strong partnership with Koenig Equipment, emphasizing the support and family-oriented service he receives. He also shared some of his favorite features in his S760 which includes the technology monitoring grain quality, taking samples as it harvests, and adjusting fan speeds to blow out impurities for a cleaner sample. Monte noted the challenges of fluctuating moisture levels in soybeans, which can drop from 12% to 9% throughout the day due to the heat of the sun alone. This advanced technology not only ensures high-quality grain but also makes the harvesting process more efficient, allowing Monte to enjoy life on the farm while maintaining a successful operation.
