Every Koenig Equipment store takes text messages at its main phone number, the same number you have always called. Text it a part number, a service question, or a check on an order, and it goes straight to the parts and service team at that store. They reply in writing during store hours, so you are not sitting on hold, and the answer is saved on your phone for the next time you need it. Your store's number is in the table at the bottom of this post. Save it in your contacts, and the next time something comes up, send a text instead of waiting for a callback.

Why a text often beats a phone call
You skip the hold. When the parts counter is busy, and in harvest and spring it gets very busy, calls stack up. A text waits its turn without you waiting with it. You send it, put the phone back in your pocket, and get back to work.
You can send it the moment you think of it. The best time to remember a part is usually 9 at night in the shop or Sunday afternoon on the mower, not between 8 and 5. Texting is not tied to our hours. Roughly one in seven texts our stores receive comes in after we have closed, and each one is waiting for the team when they get in. We will not pretend someone is answering at midnight, but you will not have to remember to call in the morning either.
You get it in writing. Part numbers, prices, and pickup times are easy to mishear over a running engine and easy to forget by the time you reach the store. In a text thread they stay put. You can scroll back to them at the counter or forward them to the person picking up the order.
What you can text us about
Anything you would call the store for is fair game. The most common reasons Customers text us:
- Parts: checking whether a part is in stock, getting a price, or finding the right filter, belt, or blade for your machine
- Service: scheduling a visit, asking what a noise or warning light might mean, or checking on a machine that is already in our shop
- Orders: confirming a part is in and ready to pick up
- Quick questions: hours, directions, or who to talk to about something bigger
Your text goes to the people at your local store, not to a call center or a bot. The person who answers is the same team you would reach by walking up to the counter.
How to get your answer in one reply
The fastest text threads are the ones where we do not have to write back asking for more. Include what applies:
- Your name, if you are texting from a number we may not have on file.
- The model and serial number of the machine. The serial number (Deere calls it the PIN) is on a plate on the frame and in your owner's manual. It tells us exactly which version of a part fits.
- The part number, if you have it. It is often stamped on the old part. You can also look it up by model in our online parts finder.
- What is going on, for service questions. When it started, what you hear or see, and whether the machine still runs.
- A photo, when words fall short. A picture of a worn part or a warning on the display can save a few rounds of back and forth.
- How you want it, whether that is picking it up at the store or asking about delivery.
One thing never to send: a full credit card number. Text messages are not a secure place for payment details. If you are ready to pay, tell us and we will handle it another way.
When calling is still the better choice
Texting is not always faster. If a machine is down in the field and you need a technician to diagnose it today, call. A live conversation sorts out a breakdown in minutes that could take a dozen texts. The same goes for bigger conversations, like trading in equipment or weighing two models, where talking it through is simply easier.
Keep in mind that texts are read during store hours. A text sent on Saturday night will be answered when the store opens, not before.
Our store hours also change with the seasons, opening earlier and staying later when planting and harvest are in full swing, then settling back when things slow down. That is one more reason texting helps: you never have to remember which schedule we are on this month. Send it when it suits you, and it is in front of our team as soon as the doors open. Current hours for every store are always on our locations page.
