Drawn Planters
When it comes to drawn planters, John Deere has been leading the way in innovation since the introduction of their MaxEmerge XP™ row-units. Drawn planters get their name from being attached to a drawbar or 2-point hitch of a tractor. Whether you are looking for a small 4- or 6-row planter, or a large 16/31 split-row planter, John Deere offers the latest technology with a full lineup of drawn planters featuring their exclusive MaxEmerge™ 5-row-units.
Drawn Planter Models include: 1755, 1765 Flex, 1765NT, 1765, 1775 Flex, 1775NT (12R30 or 16R30, or 24R30), 1785, and 1795 (12 Row Split, 16 Row Split, or 24R20)

Looking for a more custom fit to your operation outside of the normal configurations? The John Deere DB Planters are custom-built to fit the exact needs of your operation. Some customizations include five-section frame weight distribution, tram-line spacing, special wheels and tires, special row counts and spacings, skip rows, and electric-drive row units for planters that might not be available from the factory.
DB Planter Models include: DB44, DB60 (36R20, 47R15, or 24 Row Split 47), DB66, DB80 (32R30 or 48R20), DB88, DB90 (36R30 or 54R20), & DB120
Can I add a planter update kit to my current planter?
If your planter is still in good working condition but doesn’t have the latest technology available, there are options to update without purchasing a whole new planter. John Deere offers three different planter upgrade kits. These include MaxEmerge™, MaxEmerge™ 5E, or ExactEmerge™.
Before updating your current planter, learn more about why an upgrade kit might be a good option for your operation.
Does John Deere have new Precision Ag solutions available for planting?
John Deere’s latest reveal to the industry is a fully autonomous tractor. The autonomous tractor is a combination of the 8R tractor, TruSet-enabled chisel plow, GPS guidance system, and advanced technologies. Six pairs of stereo cameras enable obstacle detection in a full 360-degrees. Precise position detection is in constant use to make sure the autonomous tractor operates where it is supposed to. Once the autonomous tractor is in the field and configured, the farmer can use the John Deere Operations Center Mobile to start the machine. Live video, images, data, and metrics are available to monitor through John Deere Operations Center Mobile, which allows you to adjust the depth, speed, and more. Notifications are also automatically sent to ensure job quality and diagnostics.
Are there other types of planting technology available?
The ExactEmerge™ row units offer precise seed control, placement, and depth at a high speed of up to 10 mph. These features combined will streamline your planting process and help you operate more efficiently.
With the addition of MyJohnDeere to your planter system, all your vital data is recorded. With the recording and constant monitoring features included, it is easy to detect any problems that could arise and solve them quicker.
